Begin by counting to 20 forwards and backwards. Ask an adult to give you a number between 1 and 20, can you count up from that number and count backwards from that number? e.g.  6, you would count 6,7,8,9,10 etc. or if they said 14 - you would count 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 etc.
