Begin by counting to 20 forwards and backwards. Then ask an adult to choose a number from 1-20 and then count forwards or backwards from that number, just like yesterday. (if they choose 17, you can count on: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 etc; or you can count backwards: 17. 16, 15, 14 etc.)
