Year 6

Spring Term Home Learning 2021

Welcome back to school Year 6 and welcome to the Year 6 Home Learning page for the Spring Term.

On this page you will find lessons for you to complete during the school closure. There is a timetable which outlines the learning for the week and how long your child should spend on each piece of learning. Each day, your child will receive spelling or handwriting, literacy, guided reading, maths and a curriculum lesson. These will be uploaded daily and will be clearly marked with today's date. Please only complete that days learning.

Lots of the lessons have resources provided online through videos that you can access for free. If children are required to log in to a website, their username and password can be found on the inside of their home learning journal. We are expecting the children to complete the work in their home learning journals, so there is no need to print off the sheets. We have attached copies of worksheets here to look at and you can access these from home or you can collect a printed pack from school that has paper copies of these.

Children can share their learning through Purple Mash, which is a website they are very familiar with. There is a guide available in week 1 for how to do this.

Children can also share their learning with us through Seesaw. Seesaw will allow you to upload your child's work so that we can give feedback to help your child to continue to make progress whilst learning from home. You can find instructions on how to join Seesaw and upload your child's work below. To join Seesaw you will need your child's student code, this will be found within their home learning pack and should be collected from school. We are looking forward to seeing your learning.

Please can you also ensure that you have joined Marvellous Me, as this is how we will communicate with you at home.
