Religious Education

Through the teaching of the dispositions children will learn from faith, drawing on beliefs, expressions and practical actions of religious traditions. The children will learn about religious traditions.


We follow the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education (please see the below link).

Early Years.
As part of their work in understanding of the world, children are expected to know about similarities and differences between themselves and others as well as among families, communities and traditions.

Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Dispositions covered across KS1 and KS2 include themes of:

  • Contemplation
  • Commitment
  • Community
  • Choice
  • Compassion
