  • To promotes respect and open-mindedness towards others with different faiths and beliefs.

DELIVERY AT KINGSTHORNE

At Kingsthorne, RE is taught through a combination of discreet lessons once a week and wider school opportunities.  By the end of Year 6, children will have an understanding of the different beliefs and practices of various religions, be able to understand and use key vocabulary to relate teaching to personal experiences, the impact on the world and challenging topics regarding right and wrong.

We value the religious background of all members of the school community and hope that this will encourage individuals to share their own experiences with others freely.  All religions and their communities are treated with respect and sensitivity and we value the links, which are, and can be made between home, school, and a faith community.
